Shelter Cats Need Cat Food

*paws' yahoo group

The PAWS Shelter is currently in need of cat food donations.

Our 165 cats and kittens consume around 9 kilos of catfood a day.

A 22.7 kilogram (or 50 lbs.) bag of Princess Cat (the cheapest one we are able to find right now) costs about Php1,800 and lasts about 2.5 days. That's around Php 22,320.00 per month which is a really significant amount considering PAWS does not have a steady source of funding.

Please help us feed our shelter kitties. Donate in cash or in kind. You may drop off your catfood donations at the PAWS animal shelter.

You may also deposit your donation to our bank account: Philippine National Bank (PNB)
Account Name: The Philippine Animal Welfare Society PHP Account No.: 072-830174-0.

After making a deposit, please call 475-1688 to let us know the details and purpose of your donation (e.g., cat food) or fax a validated deposit slip with your name and note to 724-1986.

Here are some of the things badly needed by the shelter:
feeding bottles for unweaned kittens
milk for unweaned kittens: COSI or AL 110 or any lactose-free infant milk
detergent powder
dishwashing paste or liquid (kitty & doggie bowls need constant cleaning too!)
ZONROX bleach or disinfectant
old newspapers
walis tingting
pails with lids/cover
working boots (for the caretakers size: 9 and 7)
"kusot" or woodshavings
printer ink for CANON iP 1300 PIXMA

And if you have any of these secondhand but usable items that you can spare:
rice cooker
electric fan
grass cutter
rechargeable lamps

All donations in kind will be given ACKNOWLEDGMENT RECEIPTS detailing the items you donated. All donations in cash will be issued OFFICIAL RECEIPTS.

Note: Please refrain from dropping off donations -whether in cash or kind - after office hours (5pm) or on Sundays or holidays. The caretakers have no access to receipts. In such a case, you will have to leave your donations with the guard by the gate and text Ms. Nita Hontiveros-Lichauco , PAWS President, at 0920-4421958 to confirm if your donation has been received the following working day.

Thank you! - PAWS
