pug in a bazaar

A message from a concern citizen.
*whats up paws

hi! attached is the picture i took late this afternoon of a 3-month old pug
being sold at bio research's booth at gma 7's bazaar at the world trade center.
Align Center
the poor baby pug was so stressed out from the noise and the big crowd she fell
asleep out of sheer exhaustion. my daughter who was with me was tearful when she
exclaimed if only she had that amount of money, she would have bought the pug
just to take her out of that cage and out of that chaotic place!

how do we protect these poor creatures from the unscrupulous people behind this
kind establishment/s? isn't there a law against selling/peddling infant
animals?

REPLY FROM PAWS:

We will send the photo and your report to the Bureau of Animal Industry-Animal
Welfare Division.

We are regularly get complaints about the animals being kept at Bio Research
stores, which prompts us to warn people against this establishment.

Please do not buy an animal out of pity or just to "save" him/her. Buying will
encourage the trade. Take photos and report to authorities:
