nakakalungkot,I was one of the fans of the king of rap,Mr. Francis Magalona. I admire him for his advocacies. His stand for certain issues that are likely left behind by the public.

Francis Magalona was one of the celebrities PAWS could easily approach to participate in our fundraising events.
The reason? Among his many other causes - promoting the talent of Filipino artists, protecting the environment, etc. - was championing animals' rights.
PAWS' very first attempt to raise funds was by organizing a unique pet event - a pet fashion show called "FURRY TALES" in 2004.
Francis M and his son Arkin were among the first to confirm from the celebrities.
They brought their dachshund, Coolie, and gamely dressed as characters from the movie, "Lord of the Rings".
To raise funds for the PAWS animal shelter, Francis M modeled with dachshund, Coolie, in the "Lord of the Rings" segment of the very first FURRY TALES in 2004.
Backstage, the Magalona family showed that they were true-blue animal lovers
in their conversations with the other human "parents" and by calling out gently to the other canine models as they were waiting for their turn to go onstage.
Aside from FURRY TALES, the Magalonas would show support for PAWS by attending our other events, the last one being The Great Dog Dash in Eastwood in 2007.
A few FURRY TALES and DOG DASHes after, PAWS was able to build new structures for animals within its shelter.
Francis M may have passed on but his kindness and compassion will stay with us forever.
