Alicia Mayer Challenges Men to 'Get It Up'

Whether posing in plastic wrap that says, "No one wants to be treated like a piece of meat," or holding a limp banana next to the tagline "Eating Meat Got You Down? Get It Up. Go Vegetarian," Filipina Alicia Mayer has got what it takes: compassion for animals.

"I want to be able to help stop animal cruelty," says the supermodel, FHM cover girl, and star of Eat Bulaga and Muli. She believes that the easiest way to do that is to go vegetarian. "With so many delicious alternatives now available, it's easier than ever to enjoy great food without causing animal suffering," she says.

When not busy with her acting career, Alicia devotes herself to promoting vegetarianism and combating animal abuse. Alicia has dressed in a bikini made of lettuce leaves for a PETA pro-vegetarian ad, she was a finalist in PETA's Sexiest Vegetarian Celebrity contest, and she signed a petition opposing foie gras.

Now she's making butchers and other meat-eaters squirm with her new ad, in which she appears in the cold stainless-steel setting of a butcher shop amid meat hooks. With this ad, Alicia hopes to urge people to relate to who is on their plate.

Her next new PETA ad points out the relationship between meat-eating and impotence and is sure to make more than one man think twice about his meat addiction. After all, nobody but a chimpanzee wants a limp banana.
