Naiasipan ko lng mg post ng ganto, kasi nga lately dito sa lugar namin,3 na ang nakakagat ng aso these past few weeks, now, based on their story, mas na curious ako kung bakit nanganagagat ang aso,so..basa basa, buklat buklat sa kaaklatan namen, then I finally found the one I was looking for, questions were answred by the book.
I have learned that dogs may behave in resemblance of it's wild relatives like coyotes
and wolves,it s rather inherited than learned.
ON TERRITORY
A dog guards its owners house or garden as it's territory. For this reason, the dog may threaten or attack an outsider or dog that approaches house/garden area. A dog may also consider it's owners car or other possessions of his master as an extension of its territory. while inside the car,a dog may threaten any stranger who comes near.
GOOD COMMUNICATION
Understanding how dogs communicate can help most people to avoid bites. Never stare at a strange dog because it may consider your stare as a threat and attack you. Remember not to run past a strange dog. Your flight might trigger its chase response, and you may get bitten.
On the other hand, ignoring a dog may make it suspicious of you. If you act friendly and speak to the dog,it will have less reason to challenge you.
As you approach a strange dog, observe how it reacts to you. Even a friendly dog will probably bark at you when you are on its territory. A dog that stays put or backs off when you approach regards you as a dominant intruder and will likely be too scared to attack you.
When a dog approaches wagging, even if its barking,is probably friendly and will not bite. Be on GUARD,however.if a dog stiffens up,holds its tail high, snarls, and stares at you.
BE ALERT
I f a dog seems likely to attack, stand your ground. Stare back at it and shout"go home" in a powerful, angry voice. This bluff may scare it. NEVER LEAN BACK because any backward movement may suggest that you are afraid. Keep your weight forward so you will be ready if ever the dog jumps at you. If it does jump, thrust your knee upward into the dogs chest. If you are carrying anything, use it as a shield. ALWAYS BACK SLOWLY AS YOU LEAVE ITS TERRITORY. NEVER TURN AND RUN. The dog may interpret your running as a sign of weakness and attack you.
nga pala, kapag gagawin niyo yung pag iwas sa pag talon ng aso, never make/let your arms,
upper body, esp. your head dahil pag nagkataon na nakagat kayo, mas mabilis ang
pag akyat ng rabies sa utak niyo.
