Baka kasi makatulong sa iba na nasa parehong sitwasyon or talaga lang na gustong dahlin
alaga nila from other country papunta dito.
Eto yung tanong niya, andito na nga rin pala yung reply ng isang member:
My sister lives in singapore and recently got a west highland terrier.
she works very long hours, lives alone and now wants me to go to
singapore and get her dog to take home to manila.
she feels bad for the dog because she is away so much and thinks he
will have a much better life here in our family home.
do you guys know of the procedures involved in taking a dog from
abroad? and the requirements here when u get to the manila airport?
can he be in a crate hand carried in the plane? he is still a puppy
about four months. i think i saw this in an airport abroad once. have
any of you had experience in this? would appreciate information. thank
you!

The 2 offices you need to make inquiries to will the Bureau of Animal Industry here in the Philippines and the airline office.
Make sure you have the ff.:
a. Documentation of complete vaccinations of the dog (so that the dog will not have to undergo quarantine). The vaccination certificate has to the be internationally accepted one (a white and blue folding leaflet, which is what our vets here issue).
b. an airline-approved carrier / kennel. these i'm sure will be available in Singapore. make sure the size is enough so that the dog can stand up and turn a full circle inside the carrier.
10 years ago a friend brought in a beagle from the U.S. Using the aforementioned. On paper, they were importing a live animal. A relative here was the official "animal importer". There was no problem bringing in the beagle.
